- When did you start Geocaching?
I started on my own in early 2005 when I discovered the GC.com site while surfing the net. I thought that the idea of searching for treasure using GPS was probably the coolest thing I had ever heard of. The first find was Smokey's Birthday Cache on Jan 28 that year. It wasn't long before the kids started accompanying me on a regular basis on my outings. It was then that I changed the user name from just "HoggerJeff" to "HoggerJeff & the Piglets".
Finders of the Lost Cache
This summer the MBGA is challenging you to find long lost Manitoba caches for a chance to win some cool geocaching prizes.
Each of the long lost caches has been allocated points according to it's age, difficulty and terrain, as well as the amount of time since it was last found. If you are prepared to risk life and limb (or just gas money), find one or more of the long lost caches between July 1 and August 31, 2008.
