Vote For a Christmas Party

At this evening's board meeting, we discussed our upcoming Christmas Party. As with all things, it's good to discuss and explore things that we do as an organisation and investigate if a change is something to pursue. We discussed the possibility of changing up our annual Christmas Potluck / Party. We would like your feedback.

Why Post a Will Attend?

One of the least used logs types for GeoCaching events is the Will Attend log.

What is it? Essentially, the 'Will Attend' is your RSVP to say that you are coming to the event. It is a courtesy and is no different than RSVPing to a wedding or other event. It helps event organisers plan their event by having enough seats/food/etc. It would be frowned upon to attend a wedding without sending in your RSVP as there would be no seat for you at the dinner table.

When viewing an event page, you can click on the button that says 'log your visit' at the top right corner.

GeoVenture 2015 : What is it?

What is GeoVenture and why should you attend?

It is an annual Geocaching event held at Birds Hill Park. This year we have 6 events published, a pub night, a bonfire, a breakfast, a challenge, a potluck BBQ and games evening, a Sunday CITO.

The first several GeoVentures, the real reason for the event was the challenge itself. A number of (to be published later) Geocaches are to be released and groups of Geocachers run/race/drive etc around to go be amongst the first to find them. That's the 'adventure' in GeoVenture.

The rest of the events are all about the socializing.
