Did you sink the battleship?
The MBGA winter contest, Operation Battlecache II, has drawn to a close and the grid has been set to pick the winners. You can check now to see how you did on the Operation: Battlecache II Results page, but you'll have to wait on the edge of your seat till the MBGA AGM to find out the winners. Learn more at the Operation: BattleCache II page.
Cacher of the Month - February 2011
devildawg

devildawg
I've known devildawg for many years. The first few times I remember seeing her, she was always accompanied by Harley, her dog. At first I thought she was shy, as she had only made it to a handful of events. But as I got to know her, that perception quickly disappeared. She always seems happy and talkative and is fun to hang around with. While we were out geocaching with Mhz last year, she surprised me with her monkey-like ability when she easily scaled a pine tree to retrieve one of the First In, Last Out caches. It was like she was defying gravity! As one of the city's Paramedics, I have a lot of respect for her. Now, if she'd only let me drive one of the ambulances with the sirens going, that'd be SWEET!

2011 MBGA Board Nominations
Nominations are requested for the MBGA board of director’s positions to be elected at the Annual General Meeting on May 1, 2011.
The board of directors will serve to manage the affairs of the MBGA for a one year term following the election. If you, or someone you know, would like to volunteer please e-mail nomination@mbgeocaching.ca with the name and contact information of the nominee. Permission must be obtained before nominating another person. Nominees should submit a statement of their qualifications before the AGM.
Nominations are accepted for any Manitoba resident, 18 years or older, who is an eligible voting member of the MBGA for at least thirty (30) days prior to the election. Nominations are open until midnight, April 17, 2011.
For further details on the election and operation of the MBGA please refer to the Election Policy and Bylaws. Reviewing past meeting minutes of the MBGA committee will also give you an idea of what to expect.
Nominees are running for a director’s position on the board. Once the group of directors has been elected, the board will elect officer positions.
