Those freezes are definitely cool. Don't think I could hold one personally, however, I always get an itch.
I like the variation that was mentioned, stand somewhere (like Portage and Main or in front of Portage Place where there is a lot of people traffic) and point/stare up at a spot in the sky or on top of a building. Get everyone looking worried that there is something wrong up there. |

Hey Ice and Jaypeg
I noticed both of you indicated you were not sure you could hold the pose for long. If you notice in some of the you tube footage, some of the frozen poses are in positions that might be more comfortable...for instance, crouching to pick something up, or even laying down! It is odd, but that's the whole thing!
I personally would likely freeze in a position which avoided a direct stare. If someone were to come up to me while I was froze, and look me in the eyes, I am sure I would lose it!
Staring up at the sky with our GPS's would be really funny! Plus, it draws attention to the sport! Although, maybe we prefer to keep it hidden to avoid caching line ups!
I'm all for the freeze! The Queens idea is great too! I love music, and would be happy to come and howl out a pathetic ode! We would need to hit the Irish Pavilion! I'll bring my guitar! |

I do like this idea but we are incapable of looking at anything on YouTube so not sure what we were looking at - We suffer from a rural dial-up handicap. I was just adding another one for later in Fall if we're brainstorming. |

I dunno about everyone holding there GPS up though. It could be because I'm a paranoid guy from the country... but in my eyes, a pile of people holding their GPS's up is like screaming out "Hey thieves and violent attackers! There's a crapton of expensive electronics all in one small spot here!"
But yeah, that's just me. _________________ =======================

Think of it this way Kabs...If there is a "geoswarm" of US...there would have to be at least 2 hoodlums! Figure? I think you could take 'em down! |

Is it politically incorrect to say that Crapton is the last name of a great guitar player popular in China?

I sent Kabs a PM telling him
I had to look up CRAPTON too!
There is a whole crapton of hilarity to this topic!
And Eric Crapton is not as famous as one may believe!
Thanks for the education Kabs! You've brushed up me Shakespeare! |

I think if Kabs wears his chainmail shirt to the event, we will have no worries. The hoodlums will be blinded by the reflection, or just generally gazing in awe. I am STILL in awe.
I want one of those thangs.... or at the very least, I want a chainmail lesson so I can make my own. I'm serious people.
Maybe a MOB event where everyone is wearing one of those... that would stop people in their tracks, fer sure. _________________ If I love geocaching, why am I on this danged computer? |

That'd take a helluva lotta chainmail shirts... but it'd be awesome if we could like... reacreate a scene from a medival battle, and freeze in place for a few minutes like that.
But that'd require WAY too much chainmail making, never mind it'd be curious as hell as to why a pile of people wearing armour are all in one area to begin with _________________ =======================

Hey glacier Ice. Nice to meet you at the event yesterday. I thought you might find this interesting if you haven't already read it. Since you mentioned your upcoming event, and your working in improv, here is the description of the Grand Central Station event. It was in fact a HUGE improv group involved. It makes sense...

If this link does not lead you right to the page, then go down the right side under "missions" and click the Grand Central link |
