Hi Everyone.

Since we as a group tend to be out in many locations I thought I would ask that you keep your eyes open for a stolen canoe. I belong to an association called Paddle Manitoba. We have stored eight canoes at La Barriere park for many years for open paddles, courses, events, and out-reach programs. Unfortunately sometime over the last couple of days one of our canoes was stolen.

The canoe was used on Wednesday May 21 during an evening paddle. It was gone today May 24 when I went out to the park. The cable lock had been cut.

The canoe is:
- 17 foot Grumman Standard (aluminum)
- Stenciled on the side is "Manitoba Recreational Canoe Association"
- On the stern (right side) there is a white decal with the number 21
- On the bow there is a faint circle about 10cm across where an old
decal was located.

If you think you have spotted the canoe please let the police/RCMP/OPP... know. If you find the canoe abandoned please contact me.

These canoes are used regularly for open paddles, events, courses, and out-reach programs. The canoe will be sorely missed.
