Hi,
I am thinking of getting our 7 year old grandaughter a Geomate Jr. and the linking cable. I see it on Amazon.com but was wondering if there is any place in Canada that sells it. I tried the GPS Central website and didn't find it there.
Also, has anyone actually tried one?
Thanks |

I heard that it did not have any maps for Canada or isn't support in Canada, but I may be wrong.
You may want to check this out.

Thanks for the suggestion. I looked at the website and you have to buy a special cable to update the geocaches from anywhere. The kit is US$25. My buddy is going to Grand Forks tomorrow and apparently they are available at Target.
The UpdateKit
The geocaching anywhere, anytime with a Geomate.jr rocks. And the 250,000 geocaches that the Geomate.jr comes with is sure to keep anyone busy for some time. But new caches are being added every day. And geocaches exist all around the world! So if you want fresh new caches, or are looking for a geocaching adventure in New Zealand (for example), then you may want to think about an Update Kit for your Geomate.jr. |

| At $95us for the set I'm wondering if its more worthwhile to buy an older model full featured GPS instead. |
