I'm putting this here instead of Facebook so that any cachers in my household don't see it, as I am thinking of buying another one for somebody's birthday.
Looks like Delorme is discontinuing the PN-40 and they are selling them for only $125 until April 6. This is an amazing deal. I think I bought mine for $195 from Amazon just over 2 years ago and that price was only available for that day. There are about 10 of us using PN series GPS now in Manitoba. They are super accurate and fully paperless, and come with a great Topo app for your computer and good mapping for Manitoba in the box. That said, Mac support and Linux support are poor, but that's ok for most of us.

I can't speak for the PN-40, but I've been caching with the PN-60 for the last 6 months and it works far better than the comparable Garmin GPSmap 62 series, which I've found to be buggy. |

Did you get it MissionMode?
I also am in dire need of a new gps. I still use the older than old Magellan Meridian. Most times I choose to use my phone. |

I never did buy a second one. I was feeling a bit broke at the time. I regret it. I love my PN-40 and I know my daughter would still love one of her own. |
