I agree, that's an awesome idea for a signing log. Although I'd be a bit worried about the text washing off over time, even if it's in permanent marker. Assuming of course that isn't whiteboard marker, meant to be temporary for that event or something.

But going with the 'permanent' idea... if I had a ton of disposable cash, I'd totally set up a vehicle for the same type thing, but initially paint the car a matte colour. Once everything's been signed, you could go a few layers of a clearcoat gloss over it to lock in the text.

Almost makes me want to come up with a giant, yet easy to move TB, and do that exact idea to it whenever the mega-event comes to Manitoba. hmm... really like that theory, may have to ponder what large, write-onable, but isn't a hundred pounds object one could use...
