This is a message for the caching groups outside of Winnipeg.
There are a number of annual caching events that happen in Manitoba.

Cache the Marsh
GeoVenture
The MBGA AGM
The MBGA Board is going to be working on a 12 month plan of events. What we'd like to know from places like Flin Flon, Dauphin, Brandon and Eastman are the planned event dates you have coming up. The goal is to prevent any overlap when we do our planning for bigger events.
The other goal is to help you if you do not have dates set in stone. We'll publish this calendar and other events can be planned so that there is no overlap. I know last year that Eastman had planned their contest wrap up event and it happened to land on the same weekend that GeoVenture happened. As a result, Eastman's event was a bust.
We'll also make sure to publish your event details in our calendar of events.
Geocachers love to party! So let's party!

| Coordinating events on a provincial calendar is a great idea. We were fortunate to get a heads up about the Dauphin Cachefest last September from a friend there and it was an amazing event. |

Thanks for starting this thread! We look forward to taking in a few other events across the province this year so think it's a great idea to get a bit of a heads up on who's thinking about events for 2013.
Here are our Dauphin event dates. We'll have GC codes for the upcoming ones this week probably after we work out a few details.
Saturday, March 2 – Dauphin Winter Spirit Festival (will have a geocaching component to this outdoor festival)
Saturday, April 20 and/or Sun, April 21 – Kick off to our 2013 Quest for the Coin challenge at the Kinsmen Business Expo (25 new caches to find in order to receive a free 1st edition geocoin). Also looking at integrating CITO
Saturday, September 7 - Cachefest (our 2nd annual event with even more new caches to be released)
Caching Riding Mountain (the Wasagaming weekend event) is slated for June 8 and 9, 2013 in case anyone is interested in that one (we don't coordinate it but attended last year). |

This was definitely something we lacked so kudos for starting this post!
I was just getting the MBGA Birthday Party set to publish and am relieved to see it doesn't interfere with any other event.  |
