I figured if anybody would know the well kept secrets, it would be one of us geocachers.

MissAngryHamster and myself will be remaining here over the holidays but would like to take a day or two and just leave the city, stay somewhere nice, and relax by a fireplace.

I'm guessing that New Years bookings would already be too late, but her other option is Christmas.

Wondering if anybody here knows any places that are cozy and romantic within a few hours of Winnipeg.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Thanks!

I had clicked on that link earlier today while searching but figured I'd rather have a personal opinion if anybody had visited any of these lodges before.

We just decided to go for Barrier Bay Resort for a few days. The wife is excited, and I might get to go find a few pretty neat caches while we're there. (She doesn't know that part yet though...shhhh)

Thanks again, Stacy!

Talk soon,

Sounds like you've already booked something, but I thought I'd throw my 2 cents in anyway.

We've been to Pinewood Lodge a couple of times, and really enjoyed it.
