OK, this might be the thread for this ...
... let's say someone theoretically came in to a load of $$ ... and using said funding, could hire a helicopter, and go out to Untouchable, or close by.
is that inappropriate for geocaching?
personally I'd feel like a Cheater McFeater. For geocaching ... is it the find, or the journey that is the real quest.

Hourly rate for a helicopter is only about $800 so technically grnbrg spent more than that on the last attempt. You can probably carry 4 cachers so that is only $200 each, and if the chopper is already in the area you might be able to get in there and back in a fraction of an hour.
Frankly if you spent enough time at it I'm pretty sure you could get a snowmachine into the cache. If you have doubts (or just want to be entertained) check out this video.
But really, what is the point? To get another smiley or accomplish something that you didn't think you could do or challenges you?

Thanks TurdleEggs,
KiteKacher got some great photos and set them up in a slideshow to give you an even better flavour for the area. They might even compel people to go there even though there isn't a cache anymore.

The slideshow works pretty slick. |

Great pictures! My favourite has to be “Dragonfrey unleashes his fiery anger…”
KiteKatcher “Near the little rapids" is a great photo. |

Such great photos! They sure make me yearn for some time away from the city in such beautiful surroundings.
Thanks for setting up the slideshow. _________________ If I love geocaching, why am I on this danged computer? |
