Would anyone be interested in going caching with me one day in Winnipeg?
I tried yesterday to find 7 caches in downtown Winnipeg and I couldn't find any of them!? Don't know if it was me or if they just weren't there. So not to sure if I should log them or not.
but maybe someone could show me what to look for? And how to look in a city..obviously different then beating through the bush or trail. |

The downtown ones are always trickier. You've got GPS signal bounce which can really do a number on you. Then the placement has to be such that it's either very well blended or very tucked away.
After pub nights or weekend events you can usually find some willing people to pick up caches in the city or downtown. _________________ "So do they sometimes hide caches in dog poo like this?" "No, that's real poo. You might want to put that down." |

| I know ToonYogi is looking for somebody to cache downtown, but he also hasn't done many there. Still I suppose 2 heads are better than one. |

| Maybe could meet up on Sunday or weekday, whatever works and maybe carpool? I tried again today and couldn't find a couple. No idea if its cause of the buildings or my GPS's age. |

However, most of the time, any of the sketchy areas of the city are generally the most quiet between 6am and 9am on a Sunday. That's generally when I like to cherry pick those areas. _________________ "So do they sometimes hide caches in dog poo like this?" "No, that's real poo. You might want to put that down." |
