Now that geocaching season is ramping up to full steam again, it's a good time to check that caches you've hidden are in good shape.

At a minimum you should review your cache listings online regularly, it is your responsibility as a cache hider.

Check for a needs maintenance flag from previous finders or heaven forbid a needs archived flag. Read through recent notes and logs to see if there are any issues being reported. Check for DNFs or a complete lack of logs that may indicate the cache is missing.

Take action if you see something that needs attention or checking on. Disabling the cache online takes but a few seconds and prevents poor cache finding experiences and frustrated cachers.

A visit to the cache location is also recommended from time to time, as things change, damage may not be reported or things may be misplaced.

If you are unable to attend to the cache maintenance, please archive the cache.
