I hereby declare July (which gives you all a month to scheme) to be the Month Of Evil hides, and challenge all evil wannabees to do their best to be declared Manitoba's Most Evil Hider. This is not a contest to be won with numbers, but with a few brain-busting, knee-shaking, tear-inducing hides.

The ground rules:
(<PIRATE>They be more like 'guidelines', really. Arrr!</PIRATE>)

  • Name your caches "MOE: <Cache name>". That's "Em Oh Eee Colon". GC.com keyword searches don't work with three or fewer characters.
  • Caches must be published in July. With great evil comes great responsibility. And we'll mock you otherwise.
  • No puzzles. Making a puzzle that is difficult to figure out is easy. The focus here is on evil hides.
  • No "needle-in-a-haystack" hides. This isn't evil, it's just cruel. Yes, fun perhaps. But not evil. This also applies to a micro/nano hide in an area with hundreds of possible spots for it.
  • Accessible. A 10k hike through a swamp does not evil make. A 10k hike through a swamp to discover that they have to go and bring back a special tool might work, though.

Some examples:

And I've got a couple plans in the oven already.

Anyone up for this challenge?

(Mr. Evil) grnbrg.

Hmm evil, huh. Wouldn't know what that means, but I think I can give it a shot.

I don't know if "Brinstar's Revenge" counts as evil... but otherwise, I've spotted a spot I plan to place a cache. Not sure how evil I can make it over there, but I'll see what I can do Razz

Just caught the youngest Jokers having a heart to heart with Gnasty Gnarly. They've been putting their heads together and I admit I can't control the consequences of what you've begun. So far Joker 1 and I have controlled the dark side but in July it is summer break so...the spot is chosen - the evil will be unleashed...A child's mind and a gnomes nastiness. Good luck.

Can that go at the end? I'm having terrible trouble trying to figure out which Splash cache we're doing since I download the co-ords and names straight to my GPS now. SPLASHIU SPLASHEU SPLASHAE is not helpful at all. In fact very frustrating as is the Conquistador series. Which cache is this - who knows? Is it the multi or em a Mural series or um what. I had hoped the recomendation for the Splash event would be to add the name at the very end. Unless is really suits in the middle. Ah well This is an inherent evil in itself - the inability for cache names to transfer completely...Just my 2 cents worth - and that means I just have 2 cents less for gas I guess. And that price is really evil now.

I agree with this suggestion. I end up renaming caches before I send them to the GPS (rename the Conquista series by country) ..... and I especially agree with the evil rise of gas prices. We have 5 drivers in this household... I will never retire.

Ok lets do the checklist:

1. Evil caching parts ordered - done Being shipped from 2 far away locations.

2. Evil Evil Location - Preliminary survey completed, close up inspection to follow.

3. Evil Evil Evil staff to man the cache, hired, on his way from G*******.

4. Evil Evil Evil Evil camoflage to secure location from Geocachers, Sketches produced, budgets set - passed by the Evil Board.

5. Disembarkation and translation of Evil Cache information, To be Done (don't worry will kill the translator when it is done, remember, this is EVIL)

Hmmm I think I know what evil is now, thanks for the definitions, but after this cache you will look in the dictionary under Evil and see:
