The MBGA website and forums were switched to a new web hosting company yesterday. The effects took quite some time to propagate through DNS. If you are still seeing messages about the site being down for maintenance or the forums disabled, you are seeing the old site.

You can try refreshing a couple times and see if it changes, you can also try visiting one of the other domains www.mbgeocaching.ca www.mbgeocaching.com www.mbga.ca

As part of the switch, the mailing list also had to move, you may receive a notification as a result.

Well, I notice that the page is loading like... 10 times faster than before. Looks like it was worth any downtime some people may have had.

Our new host performed an upgrade yesterday. I noticed an issue with avatar uploading and the gallery backend that have been fixed.

If you notice anything else please let me know.

I tried to upload a .png avatar last night after 10pm and it failed. Unless that's what was fixed.

Seems like there is lingering issues as I needed to refix avatars and gallery.

Some of you may notice an unsubscribe followed by a subscribe request for the MBGA-announce mailing list. I updated the code to handle email address changes, if you changed email addresses after subscribing you may get this.
