Just curious. Who here caches with a Jeep? What kind of Jeep? Got a pic?
Do you use your Jeep on trails as well as town?
Are you a Member of a Jeep or 4wd club in Manitoba in such as you enjoy trail drives and exploration?
Do you enjoy or would you be interested in caches placed along existing and legitimate Jeep accessible trails and/or places?
The reason I ask is that I have a former MovingCache that has since become defunct. I would like to restore it in it's present location as a regular Geocache in the area it was last left along a nice Jeepable trail in SW Manitoba. The trail is drivable most times by any vehicle but does have some deep rutted areas not suitable to a car and can sometimes be difficult without 4wd to assist your momentum under certain road and weather conditions.
Anyway, I was just curious if there was any fellow Geo-Jeepers out there who might be interested in such a thing as Jeepin Caches?
Here's our Jeeps...

Well I can't say I own a jeep, although I have always wanted one! Nice pics you posted there! Love the little pink one! I do drive a Tracker though! I know that mentioning a Tracker in the same breath as JEEP, to some jeep owners, is Sacrilege! But I just thought I'd post you this little link! It's quite amusing! Do you figure they're caching?
turn up your sound!

OH and btw! I'm all for the 4x4 cache adventure! Bring it on!

Haha! That clip was too funny! You're right - I hear Ohmic with the "Incroyable!"

I know a Toyota Prius driver that could put that video to shame.
Right Ninja?

Ah but to mention a Prius in a Jeep forum is sacrilege! (To the Prius owners)

Thank you Z! I couldn't agree more!
Besides! Before you muscle heads dissed my youtube ( ) I was really only wanting to draw attention to the French accent oui?
I agree, the manouver was lame! I just got the giggles listening to the two big kids in the tracker at the time! lol
I have done some off road with my Tracker, but I need the thing for day to day survival, so I am not in a position to write it off! Not yet anyway!

Its been a while since we have been kicked out of a whole rural municipality for my driving. But I am looking forward to getting back out on the road soon.
I am currently pitching a show "Please CBC pimp my ride" I am hopping they can put big tires and a high suspension on the Said toyota.

Maybe if you bake some of those tasty little blondies, and toffee things for them, they'll pimp you out! Worth a try!
Hell, maybe if you bake enough for us here, we'll do it for ya! Any takers?

I just started caching today so haven't been on any hunts that take me to off-road locations... but sounds like a good time.
Actually, my daughter and I just found our first Cache today! Woot!!

Nice H1, don't see too many of those around here.
Question for Zef, how do you make your Jeep a Travel Bug? Just buy a tag from GC.com? And then do you log it in and out of every cache you find?

You can buy decals now at most geocaching online stores. I was the first in MB to make my vehicle trackable (A Toyota Tacoma at the time) and I had my own decals custom made as they are pretty cheap. I just activated a TB tag and used it's number. I've transfered my tracking number to my new tank (Toyota FJ Cruiser) and would love to go 4x4'ing for cache any time in MB! Last time we attempted a 4x4 track, it was Feb in MT and before that AZ, 2 days before that with same result. Dirt roads, melting snow and steep drop offs are not a good combo! We had to back out both times for fear of sliding sideways over the cliff!
After attempts like that, I'm always happy to come back to the prairie where my inclinometer is almost useless!
Bring on some 4x4 caches!
