Nominations are requested for MBGA directors positions to be elected at the Annual General Meeting April 30, 2008. The board of directors will serve to manage the affairs of the MBGA for a one year term following the election. If you think you or someone you know would like to volunteer, please email nomination@mbgeocaching.ca with the name and contact information of the nominee. Please obtain permission before nominating another person. Nominees should include a statement of their qualifications not more than 1,000 characters.

Nominations are accepted from any Manitoba resident MBGA member 18 years or older until midnight of April 16, 2008.

For further details on the election and operation of the MBGA please refer to the Election Policy and Bylaws. Reviewing past meeting minutes of the MBGA committee will also give you an idea of what to expect.

Is there a possibility to see the list of Nominees and what position they are letting thier names stand for?

The list of nominees will be posted after the nomination period closes, perhaps a little sooner also.

There is only one position to be elected to this year: Director. Once the group of directors has been elected, they decide amongst themselves which director will hold which officer position, if any. From there any other responsibilities or positions may be assigned to the directors.

This is opposed to previous years in which each officer position was elected directly.

I think this is a FINE idea. Usually a self-organizing group can work well together. Not enough of us to compete. Wish you all the best. Since we are the best Association in the WORLD!!!
