The post on appropriate wedding music reminded me of this, but it needed it's own post. Smile

I've been to a couple of funerals in the last couple of years, and the following Green Day music has been popular:

So take the photographs, and still frames in your mind
Hang it on a shelf in good health and good time
Tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial
For what it's worth it was worth all the while

It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life.

etc, etc.

Seems like a perfect funerary accompaniment. Until you find out the title -- "Good Riddance".... Shocked

Let's put down on this list o' inappropriate wedding music the very song that I was almost tempted to say, just to see what would happen. Luckly... common sense kicked in Razz.

Behemoth - Slaves Shall Serve

Some of the choice lyrics:

And all we feel
Is painful bliss
As we burn forth
Like winged globe
Like solar disk...
...and penetrate eternity

Slaves shall serve!
Slaves shall serve!
Slaves shall f#@$ing serve!

Aww... isn't it sweet? Razz

EDIT
While I'm at it... I'll post our actual song that we danced to at the reception (or at least the second one... the first was a classical number):

Horrorpops - Walk like a zombie.

It's a beautiful song when you think about it... check the lyrics:

You walk like a zombie
You talk like a zombie
Its not in your head
You're a living dead
Whatever you're gonna do
You're gonna make me cry

And you wanna hold hands
In the cemetery
And you wanna be lost
For all eternity
And everything is dark
And kind of scary
And you crave the full moon
But i don't care

And you want a mountaintop
With a little castle
And you wanna name our kids
Morticia and fester
And all the flowers you bring
Are always dead
And you howl at the moon
But i don't care

Six feet under
You make me wonder
You wanna be undead
So you can be hunted
But whatever you're gonna do
I'm gonna follow you

Yeah, it may have been construed as inappropriate... y'know... zombies being less than romantic... but it's talking about 'no matter how weird you are, I'll follow you'. If that doesn't scream commitment and love, I don't know what does. Well, and being undead, I guess Razz.
