At the 2008 MBGA AGM held at MEC on April 30th, the Board of Directors was retired and a new board voted in by members in attendance. There were eleven nominations received for the twelve board positions so a call for nominations from the floor was made. No additional nominations were received. As quorum was met, a motion to accept the nominations was made and seconded and the eleven nominees were elected to the board by show of hands.

Tobey (3T's&aG), Nick (bevro), Richard (KiteKacher) and Sean (Dragonfreys) did not seek reelection so please join me in thanking them for all their contributions to the board last year. Nick (bevro) will continue as the MBGA’s trainer.
New to the 2008-2009 board are Carmène (Géocacheurs Tourisme Riel), Georgia (GG56) and Jeff (HoggerJeff & the Piglets). Thanks for joining the board!
The new board will call a meeting shortly where the board will choose its officers and identify directors to fill the remaining roles.
Also voted on at the AGM were the new MBGA bylaws. A motion to accept the bylaws was made and seconded and the bylaws were accepted without amendment by a show of hands.
I look forward to another great year working with the new board!
