Hurray Cabela's is coming to Winnipeg. In case anyone didn't know SIR has been sold to Cabela's, so we can look forward to the full Cabela's line up of product shortly.

I know it's pretty well made my week. They've also said Winnipeg will be corporate headquaters for Canada, so I'm guessing we'll be getting a big store to go with that.

Warehouse Sports was also sold to Cabelas, not sure if it was SIR already or not. It sounded like the HQ would be at the existing Polo Park store. SIR also picked up the contents of Army Surplus after bankruptcy.

I'm looking forward to seeing what they've got. Didn't have a chance to visit my first Cabelas the last time I was south of the border.

Ok quest time for all you Urban dwellers.
Has Cabella's opened yet?
Is it all that it is supposed to be?
Has this now become one of Manitoba's Destinations for us Northern Rural Bush Folks? |

No it's still SIR. I haven't heard when it will change over to Cabela's I've heard rumors though that there will be some major renovations to make it look like a Cabela's.

I just hope they keep it... Canadian, let's say. The gun market isn't even remotely as big in Canada as it is in the USA, so I hope they don't turn like... 2/3rds of the store to guns and gun equipment.
I was there about a week ago when it was still SIR. Found a couple of sales that got my attention. WOOH! I picked up two camelbacks for my wife and I _________________ Ia Numtaru, ia Lammia, ia Asaku, ia Pazuzu.
