Description: You are invited to attend community forums to share your ideas and suggestions to help shape a new plan for trails and backcountry adventures.
Riding Mountain National Park of Canada has begun to review the current trails and backcountry experiences in the Park.
A feedback form was distributed to various market segments and visitors over the summer and fall of 2008. This information was then summarized and the beginnings of a possible new plan were drafted. Rural community meetings were held in late February and March to elicit more feedback from interested parties. Now it is time to visit Winnipeg to give people an opportunity to contribute to the development of a new trail and backcountry plan. After all the community meetings are completed, the suggestions and ideas will be reviewed and a more complete draft plan will be developed. It will be available for public review over the summer and fall of 2009.
