Was in Costco today and noticed two products of interest to cachers.
#1 was a pair of flashlights using the new Cree bulbs. These are far better than any LED bulb that I've seen and most Crees will put a Mag Light to shame. Cost was under $20 for the pair. (160 Lumens)
#2 was a set of 4 dexterity gloves. Very thin neoprene with the palm dipped in PVC foam. Great for those dicey areas. Cost was $10 _________________ "So do they sometimes hide caches in dog poo like this?" "No, that's real poo. You might want to put that down." |

| I saw those at the one on Regent but didn't pick one up that day. I need to make sure I do that. I love mine and having an equally good one for the kid and as a backup would be great... and such an amazing price. |

So the gloves were +4 dexterity. I've got some of +2 stamina but -1 speed, so these might be a good upgrade. Except my dex is already pretty high... _________________ Ia Numtaru, ia Lammia, ia Asaku, ia Pazuzu.

| With my Enchanted Boots of Leaping, my dexterity is also good. But I'm currently under a Curse of Responsibility which is leaving my overall caching health at only +1. |

I'm allowed to call you geeks if I arwen right?
I did go buy both items at Costco Regent tonight, and already used the Cree in the field. I didn't realize it had the 4 modes before I bought it. That's a little annoying (on off would be nice) but it sure it bright. My existing Noma is supposed to be 160 lumens but I don't think they compare. For sure, between my 4 cree lights (one not as bright as the others - and also doesn't seal well anymore) I won't be left in the dark much.
I ran towards this product called "invisible glass" thinking it was some kind of spray on laquer that would be great for unique items but it turned out to just be some glass cleaner. I passed. |
