For those of you with a newer Garmin, make sure you check for software updates on the Garmin website from time to time. Over the past few months there have been quite a few additions and enhancements to the units capabilities.
One note of caution, I did have an issue after one past upgrade that rendered my GPS inoperable. But a call to Garmin support got that ironed out.
The latest version (4.0) is excellent. It improved the responsiveness of the touch screen, better WAAS support, added support for the new Chirp product, and installed some new caching tools that are very helpful. There are still a number of updates planned to benefit paperless caching as well as improving overall usability.
There is a resource page at http://garminoregon.wikispaces.com . This is a page that is maintained by the community, not Garmin. But there is some good info here. _________________ Have you hugged a lizard today? |
