Just a reminder to all cachers who own caches along any major river or a river tributary in Manitoba including the Red River, Assiniboine River, Souris River and many more, the spring flood is coming very very very soon!

Remember to disabled and retrieve your caches where you can or they might end up floating down stream.

Floods waters are dangerous so please help cachers out by taking care of your own caches and helping to prevent people find trying to find a flooded cache by at least disabling it until the flood is over!

I've got 5 on my list to pick up, 3 of them this weekend if I can and the remaining 2 are close to home so can be picked up later but I'm also disabling 3 more of my caches as the cache is safe from the flood but it's not safe to go find during the flood.

For cachers finding caches in flooded area, please be extra careful! No cache is worth finding in flood waters!

I know that at least one of mine is very safe from any extreme flooding. Very Happy

Also I think if you find a cache that might be threatened it's a good idea to notify the cache owner, who may not have seen the hiding spot in extreme spring conditions.

I was going to disable mine anyway, but appreciated the reminder about water levels in Lizardo's log.
