Hi Friendly Manitobans! Your geocaching buddies in Thunder Bay, ON have been holding a 24hour geocaching challenge for the past six years, and this year, we're excited to hold our biggest one yet! On the weekend of May 6th and 7th (Friday night and Saturday) there will be over 70 new caches published for our Spring Cache Challenge. We know its a bit of a way to travel, but if 24 hours of caching for brand new caches interests you, we invite you to join us for the Spring Cache Challenge.
You can read about the Challenge at NWOGeocachers.com or check out the Event cache listing. |

Just to update you all on our Cache Challenge from last weekend. We had a great time, maybe the best event yet. We had about 80 people participating (which is big for Thunder Bay) and had over 90 caches hidden for the 24 hour event. So, it was a lot of fun.
These caches are all listed on GC.com, so if you haven't been to TBay for a while, or even if you have, there are a lot more caches to do now. We're well over 500 active caches for the area now, and even if you're just passing through, theres a super cluster on a 15km stretch of highway (Dog Lake Rd) with about 25 caches. You know, just in case you're in the mood for a couple hours of caching where you can find a lot.
So, hope you can visit us sometime, and we all hope the dikes hold for you. Brutal situation you're province is in. All the best! |

Sounds like a fun event! Thanks for the updates. _________________ "So do they sometimes hide caches in dog poo like this?" "No, that's real poo. You might want to put that down." |
