| I just came here to post that. How is it a risk at all? GPS Units receive signals that are already in the air. Unless its the wireless sharing features... who has those turned on anyway? Just another way to waste batteries. |

| The airline staff aren't qualified to assess the risk a device poses, the user very likely has no idea either. If they ask you to turn it off, that is what you should do. Air flight is quite safe because of such vigilance. |

| No disagreement. It's the nature of "why would they assume that a receiving device needs to be turned off" that bugs me about it. |
