|
|
The MBGA hereby declares October 2011 to be the return of the Month Of Evil (hides).
That’s right, if you think you have the gumption to be an evil hider; October is the month for you to prove it. Can you stand with the contenders of the first MOE? Greenburg, Z’tirnats, Devisor, Joker5, FoodNinja, MuStash and Jaypeg all set the bar pretty high. Are you up to the hider’s challenge?
Ground Rules
Name your caches with the ‘MOE’ somewhere in the name: Once published, you must add your cache to this forum thread. This is where they will be discussed and it is there that voting will take place.
Caches must be published in October: With great evil comes great responsibility. And we'll mock you otherwise.
No puzzles: Making a puzzle that is difficult to figure out is easy. The focus here is on evil hides.
No "needle-in-a-haystack" hides: This isn't evil, it's just cruel. Yes, fun perhaps. But not evil. This also applies to a micro/nano hide in an area with hundreds of possible spots for it.
Accessible: A 10k hike through a swamp does not evil make. A 10k hike through a swamp to discover that they have to go and bring back a special tool might work, though.
Scoring
We will be taking a combination of MBGA forum voting and Geocaching.com’s favourite points, applying a complicated mathematical formula, which includes the wind speed at the time of each entry, to spit out a result and then dividing all of that by 42.

Well.
This just might be worth coming out of retirement for.

*snaps fingers* Dang, the Rubik's Cube puzzle cache that I still have yet to find an appropriate spot for wouldn't do. _________________ Ia Numtaru, ia Lammia, ia Asaku, ia Pazuzu.

No, that'll have to remain a regular evil puzzle.
Mind you, you could still put it out as part of the Month of Evil... it wouldn't qualify for the contest, but it would certainly fit the spirit. _________________ "So do they sometimes hide caches in dog poo like this?" "No, that's real poo. You might want to put that down." |

| MOE on the Redwood is now out there. I hadn't planned to enter, what with the assumed level of competition, however as the competition is currently 3 by my count, I figure I may have a chance. . . at 4th. |

Great job on hides so far everyone!
Quick announcement. Judging has been extended one month to give finders a chance at finding the MOEs and then provide the feedback on them.
We will be planning the wrap up for early December. _________________ "So do they sometimes hide caches in dog poo like this?" "No, that's real poo. You might want to put that down." |
