Easygps is a relatively simple program to load waypoints from a file into your GPS. It can do almost no customization, just loads what is in the file as it is. Your GPS manufacturer likely also has a software product that will load waypoints from a file without any alteration.

To go a step beyond that you want to use GSAK. You can try it for free, but it does cost a small amount to register it. GSAK truly is the swiss army knife of geocaching waypoint management. If you can think it up, GSAK likely already does it, a macro (extension program) can be downloaded that does it, or you can create it yourself.

GSAK is most definitely worth the $30US. It really does simplify many things and also gives you many advanced features that for most of us remain untapped. (Automatic logging is one of the things I've used recently. What a time saver when logging large numbers of caches!)

Here's something taken from the GSAK website. http://www.gsak.net/

Unsolicited user testimonial:
I used to use a clunky assortment of g7toWin, GPSBabel, Utopia, CacheMateConvert, and a host of other little scripts in combination with my standard map applications like MapQuest, Streets & Trips, etc. I am pleased to inform you that after I put your product through its paces for a couple months, I now use only one application for manipulating and storing waypoint & geocache data: GSAK. This is the best piece of GPS waypoint management software I've ever purchased. It is also the greatest value. The features of GSAK are excellent, the interoperability with other applications is excellent and your responsiveness to requests is excellent. Thank you very much for your fine work. I declare myself a very satisifed customer.
Sincerely,
