For my geocaching friends, while caching outside the city, be aware of 2 things.
1. It's hunting season. Most hunting opens up this week and the Red River Valley has a delayed start of Monday Oct 1. Wear orange while caching trails outside the city if possible.
2. Bears are a problem this year as they are hungry! Had a report from our crop insurance guy who was here yesterday that bears are doing a lot of damage to corn fields especially in southern MB east of Stienbach. Be very careful when caching around corn fields as most fields have more than one bear chowing down and hiding in the corn.
Be safe caching out there! _________________ MHz, a cacher who no more knows her destiny than a tea leaf knows the history of the East Indian Company |

Great tips! Thanks MHz. _________________ "So do they sometimes hide caches in dog poo like this?" "No, that's real poo. You might want to put that down." |
