| Since ruylopez put out his nice set of Jasmer Challenge caches, perhaps some of you are wondering where you will find a cache put out in July 2000. GC35 Power Island in Michigan is the nearest to here and there is to be an event there on Saturday, May 25. This involves a boat ride to an island in a bay of Lake Michigan. The island was once owned by Henry Ford (the car guy). Now it hosts an old cache. We have just booked a boat and have room for several others to share the adventure and the rental fee. |

| If anyone is going out to that area to grab the July 2000 cache, I also recommend grabbing a cache called Geocache 612 (http://coord.info/GC36). It is 1 of only 3 remaining caches in North America that were placed in August 2000. It is also in Northern Michigan in the same area as the July 2000 cache. |

Just be careful of the roads around 612. VERY sandy. You'll have to stop and park about 400m to the East of that spot and walk the road that runs East/West, before cutting in to the trail. Unless you have a tank, of course.
Personally, I'm looking forward to getting Power Island in July on my vacation. YAY! _________________ "So do they sometimes hide caches in dog poo like this?" "No, that's real poo. You might want to put that down." |
