How much of a puzzle-cache fan are you?
I completely ignore them.

In light of the current Maker Madness events going on, I thought I'd share this insightful article about what makes a good puzzle.

I've seen many excellent puzzle caches published in the last couple of years, as well as the occasional one that I considered sub-par (including some of my own earlier puzzle caches). The article discusses a few of the things that make a puzzle frustrating for solvers, and how you can make a puzzle difficult without causing people to tear out their hair. Smile
