Hi everyone.
I'd like to use this forum to let you know about my new game Lucky 7.
Geocaching.com would not approve a cache of this nature, so this is the best way I can present it to you. Simply put;
Look for my new signature Stuntman poker chips popping up in random caches in and around Winnipeg. These chips are numbered #001 to #050. Collect any 7 chips with sequential numbers to be able to claim an FTF type prize. Collect them yourself or trade with friends. This is all about revisiting old and new caches to have some more fun.
If I leave a chip in a new cache I will log it. But I will also be placing chips in older caches without logging them.
Feel free to use this forum to trade for that elusive chip.
As of Nov. 09 there are 17 of 50 chips out there.
Good luck The-Stuntman

As of Nov. 13 there are 31 of 50 chips in play.
Here's a your only hint, a poker chip will not fit in a micro.

Thanks Stuntman, this is a great idea. Dragonfly and I [often with 11 year old Ladybug] have visited some great areas on our hunts and this is a great excuse to go back to them. I only have one chip so far, 032, but I think I’ll go look for more this afternoon, while Dragonfly goes “Stamping” [card making for us duffers]. Thanks again.

I have two chips so far and they are not sequential but I'll be on the hunt for them, not as actively as others, I'm sure! That's not for lack of wanting but its for lack of time with my young family!
My husband believes this will be virtually impossible for anybody to win without trading while I disagree with him. Did you figure out the probabilities at all Stuntman? Great idea, however, I wonder how many others will become obsessed...? Truth be told, I dreamt about numbered poker chips last night...(and she runs off to look that up in some sort of dream interpretation book)...

I totally expect people to be getting on this forum and trading chips. But I think imposible is a strong word. There are cachers out there like ertyu, wpgk5 and others that are playing this game, sport, hobby, or obsession pretty hard.

We have 3 very non-consecutive numbers. We collected them as signature items without knowing about the game. Don't know if we'll manage to get any more though since we seldom get to caches first. Seems like a good idea for a game.

It's not about being first but rather lucky. I have been putting chips in older caches as well. It's more about who wants it bad enough to look in past caches.

So if we find any chips, would you prefer that we log that we've taken one or just leave it as is? Since you're not logging them, should we? Just wondering....

If you want to trade chips, you're going to have to let people know what you've got as well. So I think posting is not such a bad idea.

I'm in possession of four coins. Not quite sure how to get the ball rolling, and not wanting to give away my hand too much, but I'm looking for coins in the 5 to 15 range. I've got a 38 and a 45 to trade.
Any takers? Send me a PM.
PS, great idea Stuntman!

I've managed to get out there and place a few more chips.
As of Nov. 23 the chip count is 35 of 50 in play.
From my estimates about 10 - 15 chips have been collected.

Keep checking this forum for more updates.
On a side note I'm curious to know how the chip collecting is going. Post them here or Send a private message if you don't want to show your hand. (so to speak) Your results will not be disclosed.
I hope your enjoying my Lucky 7 The-Stuntman

I'm up to six coins now. This is great - I've got an excuse to go back to caches I've done before and see if I can still find them in the winter!

The latest update As of Nov. 30 the chip count is 45 of 50 in play. The last 5 chips will be out by Sunday Dec. 4/05
Just a reminder of what you're playing for:
First prize: A Peter Mclure hand crafted wooden padlock.
Second prize: A pair of FRS 2-way radios
Third prize: A 3 peice geocaching Starter kit.
This Mailman needs a good reason to go for a walk.

I recently found out that Junglehair picked up chip #49. She mentioned that it will be going into her coin collection back in New York. If you can convince her to trade good for you. But otherwise that means a 7 chip sequence will have to end at #48 and I'm keeping #50. There are still lots of coins out there so good luck.
