I have my usual alternative when I can't go caching. Its called 'work'. Seems to interfere more than I'd like to admit to.

Work and family always takes up a large part our time of course but when we have some free time both of us have other hobbies that we like to do. Myself, I am an amatuer radio operator (ham radio) and am involved in the emergency comunications areas aswell as contesting. I enjoy fishing and woodworking as well. BB enjoys many different crafts and is currently making cards as well as cross stetch, knitting sewing and scrap booking. We both like to go on road trips, go camping and wilderness canoe camping. We never have a real boring monent.

My alternatives to geocaching. I can't say any of these, except work, would get in the way but they are other things that take up my time. I go to work mostly but I happen to have a few other hobbies that may or may not include caching. I ride my bike, canoe (teach, wilderness, just paddle), I actually teach people about using GPS for other things, plants (ID/lists/naturalist/interprative/mapb board member), some botanical and ecological consulting. I spend part of my past 5 winters working with lichens and mosses.
