If you're like me, when you hear a name like "Geo-Indy", your brain automatically starts into the classic theme song. I also bet that sometimes when you're out on a geocaching quest, climbing over fallen trees, and into small caves you're singing that song outloud, aren't you. C'mon ... tell the truth. There you go. We've all done it. I even know of a certain cacher who had it as a ringtone during a flash freeze mob event. OK, back to the cacher of the month... Reading their answers to the questionnaire they were sent, I found myself nodding my head. Yes, ruylopez' puzzle are crazy hard. Yes, Z'tirnats caches are super awesome. Yes, "No Hints" hints are pet peeves of mine too. Read on, fellow cachers, and learn more about Geo-Indy. (And if you click that theme song link above, you can have it playing in the background while you're reading their cacher of the month page).
Are you sure you read that name right? It's Sting-E, not stingy (as in cheap). The mispronunciation definitely does not describe this geocaching pair. I have only known them for a couple of years, but I have found them to be one of the most generous couples I have ever met. They have made signature items made of glass that they put in many caches, and have created special items for individual cachers. I am the proud owner of 2 stingy bandit geo-jewels. One was made specifically for me, and another was found in a cache near Grand Beach. You can tell that they love making these creations as each one is as unique as they are. I have also found these bandits to be very gregarious and fun! During one of our karaoke nights, they wrote and performed their own geocaching related song and even had costumes and props!! I always love seeing them at events because I know we'll all have a good time!
Has she really been caching for just over a year? Yes! But it seems I've known her for much longer. AngelFreak is one of the most enthusiastic people I have ever met. When she gets interested in something, she dives right in. (Go ahead, ask her about couponing ... I dare you!) You can always count on her to be optimistic about upcoming events and I believe she really enjoys her role as the MBGA's Event Coordinator! Having assisted in that role over the years, I can tell you that sometimes it's not easy, and often hard to please everyone. I think she's doing a great job and is definitely an asset to the MBGA Executive. Having read through her responses below, I just realized that she missed an interesting item. Did you know that AngelFreak's first 507 geocache finds were done without the use of a GPS? I've heard other people have cached that way, but not to that extent. That takes a lot of dedication! Join me in congratulating AngelFreak on being the MBGA's Geocacher of the Month for November.
Have you ever tried to get a FTF (First to Find) in the last year or so? Think you've missed out by only a few minutes? I think I know why, and they're the MBGA Cacher of the Month: klblue. Sometimes I think that "k" (Ken) never sleeps. It doesn't matter what time of day the caches are published, he's soon on site signing the logs. I've been fortunate to meet the entire family Mom, Dad and 2 little Blues. They're lots of fun to be around and very enthusiastic about the game. Let's learn more about them:
That's right! Battlecache III is back!
