Cacher of the Month - April 2011
Lynda. L.

Lynda. L.
Several years ago the MBGA was approached by the Manitoba Metis Federation to train some of their executive on how to hide geocaches. Their goal was to host an event for their community that included a geocache hunt that took their members to areas significant to the Metis people. I was the representative of the board sent to assist them. Lynda was the first person I had met. She was very enthusiastic and had even prepped postcards describing historical landmarks that they were planning on using. Lynda soon became a fervent geocacher, placing many new caches around the city of Winnipeg and encorporating a lot of the Metis history into them. She has recently hit her 1,000th find after only 3 years in the game. Congratulations, Lynda!

Clan Lonewolf
Clan Lonewolf
Congratulations to the Clan for reaching their 1,000th cache milestone in the fall of 2010! The Lonewolfs (or Lonewolves, whichever is grammatically correct) started caching when there were only 3 of them. Now the clan has increased to 5!! Maybe they should rename themselves to "Clan not-so-Lonewolf"! I remember meeting them at one of the Turdle Ranch events in 2010. I had heard of them for years, but never had an opportunity to meet them before that. Let's hope we have many more opportunities to get together!
