What is GeoVenture and why should you attend?
It is an annual Geocaching event held at Birds Hill Park. This year we have 6 events published, a pub night, a bonfire, a breakfast, a challenge, a potluck BBQ and games evening, a Sunday CITO.
The first several GeoVentures, the real reason for the event was the challenge itself. A number of (to be published later) Geocaches are to be released and groups of Geocachers run/race/drive etc around to go be amongst the first to find them. That's the 'adventure' in GeoVenture.
The rest of the events are all about the socializing.
The Dauphin Mega event is in three days! We couldn't be more excited. This is the first ever Mega event in Manitoba 15 years after the activity of Geocaching began. We thank tourismdauphin, jabbywockyz and their team of Geocachers in Dauphin for putting in a TON of hard work to put this event together.
If you haven't been to a Geocaching event, you're missing out on one of the most fun part of Geocaching, the social aspect. When I first got started back in 2007, I wasn't to sure about events myself, but after attending my first event (a pub night) I was hooked.

It's time for round five!
Based on the popular television series of the 1990s, this event will make us all into daring detectives, stealthy sleuths and ingenious impresarios! Over the last couple of years, this event has been quite popular, so we're bringing it back for another round!
Winnipeg has a wealth of Mystery (or Unknown) geocaches.
