Based on the popular television series of the 1990s, this event will make us all into daring detectives, stealthy sleuths and ingenious impresarios! Over the last couple of years, this event has been quite popular, so we're bringing it back for another round!
Winnipeg has a wealth of Mystery (or Unknown) geocaches.
The Summer of 2014 will feature a hiding challenge known as ‘Preform Madness’.
What is a preform, you ask? It is a small plastic cylindrical container (see picture) that exists in a form before it is heated and expanded into a 2L soda pop container. The hard plastic is virtually indestructible and with the bottle cap in place, the log book will stay completely dry.
Your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to hide a preform! The challenge rules are as follows.

Join us Saturday, September 13, 2014 for our 3rd annual Cachefest. The event will start at City Hall where you will receive instructions and your caching package. At the end of the event there will be a wrap up at City Hall. Event will start at 9AM and conclude by 6PM.
Cachefest 2014 will be a full day of caching fun around the Dauphin area. There will be a mix of published Traditional, Puzzle/Mystery, Multi-caches, CITO, Earth Cache and activities.
Beware the Jabbywockyz, my son! The jaws that bite, the claws that catch! Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun the frumious Bandersnatch!
(Holy Dinah! I just scared myself!)
I haven't cached in the Dauphin area since 2007. Back then there were 3 (yes, three) whole caches in town. All of which were hidden by the Dragonfreys who lived an hour south in Onanole. This surprised me to no end as Dauphin is the largest town in the area, and Swan River (the next largest town) had dozens of caches! Well, it seems that things have changed and the cache hides are coming fast and furious! And now there's GeoArt in the province! Well done!!
"'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves did gyre and gimble in the wabe; All mimsy were the borogoves, and the mome raths outgrabe." What Lewis Carroll is trying to say here is: Congratulations and read on to learn more about the MBGA Geocachers of the Month, Jabbywockyz!
